Landmark Corona del Mar Home Goes On Market

A three-story Corona del Mar estate that has caught boaters’ attention for over 20 years has been put on sale this week, with an asking price of $23.5 million.
The home, located on the north end of Ocean Boulevard, is the only one on the street to offer water access, as it’s built on a large bluff just above the ocean. Although hardly visible on land, it distinctly stands out in the Corona del Mar coast when viewed from the water.
Surterre Properties agent Heather Kidder said the home is an iconic property that locals have admired and buyers have wanted to get for years. It is the first time the home has been on the market since it was erected 23 years ago.
The home offers over 7,500 square feet of living space on a 16,500-square foot lot. It includes four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a master suite and office, balconies on all three floors, and a bonus room that can serve as a gym. All rooms have full views of the bay and coastline.
The property is also home to a private dock able to house a 70-foot yacht or two 55-foot yachts, the only one on Ocean Boulevard. The outdoor area also houses a pool, grass lawn, and outdoor kitchen, according to Kidder.
Six prospective buyers have already come to see the property, most of them locals who recognized the home after having seen it from the sea. Kidder says such a turnout is impressive considering the asking price and that it has spent barely a week in the market.
